Analysis of the problem of small excavator's inability to climb uphill, fault repair and oil system cleaning guide
1. Exploration of the cause of the problem of inability to climb uphill
1. Potential fault of the travel motor: The small excavator is weak in climbing uphill, and damage to the travel motor is one of the possible reasons. Once the travel motor fails, the driving force it provides for the equipment to climb uphill will be greatly weakened, resulting in a decrease in the ability to climb uphill.
2. Damage to the front travel parts: If the front part of the excavator's walking is broken, it will seriously affect its walking stability and power transmission, making the excavator unable to climb uphill or even unable to climb uphill.
3. Distributor failure hidden danger: Problems with the distributor may also cause small excavators to have difficulty climbing uphill. The distributor plays a key role in distributing hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system of the excavator. If it works abnormally, it will affect the normal operation of various actuators, including the travel mechanism, resulting in inability to climb uphill.
It is worth mentioning that repairing excavators is a highly technical activity aimed at restoring their functions after the performance of the equipment deteriorates or fails. This covers all kinds of planned maintenance and unplanned fault repair. The basic scope of equipment maintenance includes daily maintenance, regular inspection and targeted maintenance work of equipment.
2. Practical steps for fault repair
1. Travel motor and engine inspection: In the face of uphill powerlessness, first perform maintenance and inspection on the travel motor and engine. If the fault still exists after maintenance, it means that the root cause of the problem is not here. This step aims to narrow the scope of the fault through preliminary inspection and lay the foundation for more accurate subsequent repairs.
2. Front travel parts and pilot valve inspection: Next, check the front of the travel, especially replace the pilot valve. However, if the uphill problem still exists after replacement, it means that the fault point needs to be further explored. The pilot valve plays an important role in controlling the excavator's walking and other actions. Its inspection and replacement is an important part of troubleshooting.
3. Distributor inspection and repair: After the above inspection failed, the distributor was removed for detailed inspection, and it was finally found that the internal components were damaged. The damaged parts were replaced in time, and the uphill failure of the excavator was successfully solved. This process reflects the gradual deepening of troubleshooting, checking from possible fault points in sequence until the problem is found and solved.
III. Tips for cleaning the fuel tank and cooling system of small excavators
(I) Air purging cleaning method
This is a relatively simple cleaning method, which can be operated by preparing a small air compressor. Before cleaning, release the fuel in the tank first, but be careful not to empty it all, leaving a small amount of fuel. After that, introduce compressed air into the bottom of the tank through a plastic pipe, and start the diesel engine at the same time, so that it can continue to run, so as to achieve the cleaning effect. In this process, constantly change the position and direction of the gas pipe to ensure that the entire tank can be effectively cleaned. After purging, quickly empty the tank and let the impurities suspended in the oil flow out with the diesel. If the outflowing diesel is still turbid and contains impurities, repeat the above steps until the outflowing oil is clear and free of impurities.
(II) Steam cleaning method
The steam cleaning method is effective, but it has certain requirements for the conditions of use and is only applicable to situations with corresponding conditions. If there are conditions to use steam, you may wish to give it a try. When cleaning, first drain the diesel in the tank, remove the tank, and then inject a large amount of clean water into the tank. Then, pass steam into the water from the refueling port to make the water in the tank boil. This process lasts about one hour. Under the action of high-temperature steam, the colloid and various impurities attached to the inner wall of the tank will gradually dissolve or peel off the wall. After completing one cleaning, repeat the operation once to ensure that the tank is thoroughly rinsed.
(III) Solvent cleaning method
Solvent cleaning method is also one of the commonly used cleaning methods, but the chemical solvents used are corrosive. The specific operation steps are to first use hot water to preliminarily clean the tank, and then blow it dry with compressed air. Then, inject a 10% aqueous solution into the tank to soak, and finally rinse the inside of the tank thoroughly with clean water.
For the cooling system cleaning of small excavators, when the engine is turned off, wait for the temperature to drop, and then drain the coolant. Then add a 15% cleaning solution and wait for 8-12 hours. Then start the engine, and when the temperature rises to 80-90 degrees, stop the engine and immediately drain the cleaning fluid to prevent scale precipitation. Then, rinse repeatedly with clean water until the cooling system is clean.
If the cylinder head of the small excavator is made of aluminum alloy, you can prepare a cleaning fluid in the ratio of 50g sodium silicate (commonly known as soda ash), 20g liquid soap and 10kg water. Inject this cleaning fluid into the cooling system, start the engine and run it for about an hour, then drain the cleaning fluid and rinse it with clean water.
